Day 3/4

While hunting, I stumbled across an area of exposed stone in the nearby plains so I decided to start, in the words of a famous dwarf, diggy-diggying a hole there.  I made a small room and then dug a spiral staircase down.  I found a large amount of coal and a few pieces of iron and even some redstone.

But that was it.  I didn’t have the tools to pull out the redstone yet so I left it there.  I also hit bedrock soon after and broke all my picks.  I headed back out to do some more hunting.

Only there was still nothing to hunt.  No pigs, no cows, just a few chickens and a lot of wolves.  I bet the wolves are eating all the pigs.  I still had my mushroom stew so I was ok but I decided to start farming just in case.  I used the few pieces of iron I mined to fashion a bucket then made a small field in my back yard.  Hopefully the bread I can make from this wheat will sustain me.
