I was looking around the Android Marketplace and I stumbled across a rather interesting looking game called Legend and Earth.  The Marketplace page made it sound rather interesting so I bought it and after coming home from work, I gave it a whirl.  I think I put it down 10 minutes later.  Not because both male and female protagonists respectively look like Conan the Barbarian and Pamela Anderson.  Not because the controls are a bit wonky.  Not even because the game required a 60 mb download to start.  There are two message, both short but both very prominent.  One was “Give 5 stars in the marketplace to get 500 gold!” and the other was “Like on Facebook to get 100 gold!”  No thanks.  I don’t want to be bribed in to doing something to give myself an advantage in a game I’ve already payed for especially when it doen’t reflect my opinion.  So I’ve uninstalled this game.  I’d go for a refund but the company that made the game probably wouldn’t hear me out.  So I’ll just rate the game for the experience it gave me and eat my bitter stew.
